Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

Account basics — your email address and display name, supplied during sign-up via email/password, Apple, or Google.

Wellness data you log — cycle dates, period flow, symptoms, mood, daily check-ins, pregnancy due date and journal entries, postpartum recovery logs, and any baby names or bump photos you save.

BuildHer data — your goals, height/weight, workout history, meals you log or scan, hydration, and any preferences you set in BuildHer onboarding.

AI Chat history — the messages you send to the in-app AI companion, the AI's responses, and any photos you attach. Chats are stored on your device by default; cloud-backed chat is optional and clearly indicated.

Optional location — if you grant location permission, we pass your coordinates to Apple WeatherKit to fetch local weather for the daily Vibe card. Coordinates are not stored — only the city/state label and the resulting weather snapshot.

Subscription state — we read your active App Store entitlement via StoreKit so the app knows whether premium is active. We never see your Apple ID or payment details.

Device & diagnostic info — only the minimum required for crash reporting and feature health (iOS version, device model, app version). No advertising identifiers.

2. How we use it

• To run your personal experience: predict your cycle phase, render your pregnancy week, surface postpartum recovery prompts, suggest meals and workouts that match your inputs, and pre-fill your dashboard.
• To send the notifications you opt into (daily wellness check-ins, period reminders, etc.). You can turn these off at any time in Settings or in iOS Settings → Notifications.
• To personalize AI features: when you use an AI coaching or insight feature — such as the Flow Check coach, the BuildHer coach, the daily Home suggestion, or the meal photo scan — the wellness data relevant to that feature (for example your current cycle phase and recent cycle dates, your pregnancy week, or your fitness targets) is included as context so the response fits your situation. This context is sent without your name, email, or account identifier attached. In the main AI Chat tab, your tracked wellness data is not attached to your messages unless you grant the app access to it.
• To support you. If you contact us at herwayofficialapp@gmail.com, we'll use your message and account email to reply — that's it.

We do not use your data to train external AI models. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell or share your data with insurance companies, employers, data brokers, or marketers.

3. Where it lives

On your device — a local cache (cycle profile, daily logs, BuildHer onboarding flags, AI chat history) stored in standard iOS storage. This makes the app fast and lets it work offline.

In Firebase (Google Cloud), under your account: cycle profile, pregnancy/postpartum entries, BuildHer profile, preferences, daily summaries, and any synced chat metadata. All transit is HTTPS-encrypted and Firebase encrypts data at rest.

AI features worker — when you use an AI feature (AI Chat, an AI coach, the daily Home suggestion, or the meal photo scan), your request and the relevant context described above are sent over HTTPS to a Cloudflare Worker we operate. The worker calls a third-party language model provider (currently Anthropic), receives the response, and returns it to your device. These requests do not include your name, email, or account identifier. The worker does not log, store, or retain your request contents after the response is delivered.

4. Your choices and rights

• Delete your account — Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete Account permanently removes your Firebase user record, all subcollections, and your local cache. This is irreversible.
• Sign out without deleting — Settings → Log Out. Your data remains under your account so you can sign back in later.
• Update or correct any logged entry from within the relevant module (cycle log, kick counter, journal, etc.).
• Manage notifications in Settings or in iOS Settings → Hèr Way → Notifications.
• Manage location access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Hèr Way.
• Cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation prevents the next renewal; access continues until the end of the current period.

If you are in a region with formal data-protection rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you also have the right to receive a copy of your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.

5. Children

Hèr Way is not intended for users under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will remove it.

6. Health data is not medical advice

Hèr Way is an informational and lifestyle product. Nothing in the app — including AI Chat responses, phase predictions, pregnancy guidance, postpartum prompts, or fitness/meal suggestions — is medical advice or a substitute for evaluation by a qualified clinician. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical decisions.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data we'll update this page and increment the effective date. If a change materially affects your privacy, we'll surface a banner the next time you open the app.
